The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC presents the undisputed queen of Portuguese fado, Mariza, November 2, 2016 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. With her commanding presence and soaring vocal range, the chart-topping vocalist returns, revealing a more personal side with songs from her latest album Mundo. Performing her musical travelogue described by Songlines as “simply breathtaking”, Mariza embodies the passionate and melancholic spirit of fado.
