Event Description

Award-winning fiddler and violinist, and Grammy Award Nominee, Jeremy Kittel leads an exceptional musical group with musical roots spanning the globe. With the drive of Celtic fiddling, spontaneity of jazz, soul of the blues and intricacies of chamber music, the Jeremy Kittel trio captivates and energizes audiences. Jeremy is joined by two of the most dynamic young performers on the American acoustic music scene, Joshua Pinkham (mandolin) and Quinn Bachand (guitar).

Joshua Pinkham, recently featured on the cover of Mandolin Magazine, is regarded as one of the greatest mandolinists of his generation. Joshua has been named “the future of the mandolin” by Mandolin Magazine; his solos on YouTube have been reviewed by Mandolin Cafe as “Jaw Dropping;” and mandolin forefather David Grisman has named him “as certainly one of the most important young improvisers on the acoustic scene today.”

With a mantle-packing collection of awards and recognition, including two Irish Music Awards plus a total of 11 nominations at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and Western Canadian Music Awards, Victoria born and raised, Quinn Bachand, is undoubtedly one of Canada’s most outstanding young musicians. Referred to as the "Young Lion of the Celtic Guitar" by Daniel Lapp, Ashley MacIsaac, with whom he has toured internationally for several years, calls him one of the best Celtic guitarists in the world. Quinn performs regularly with sister Qristina, he has toured with Ashley MacIsaac and Natalie MacMaster and is a sought after accompanist. Quinn’s gyspy-jazz side project, Brishen, has likewise turned heads to this master of musical styles and all things stringed.
