Early Music Society of the Islands with Early Music Vancouver and Christ Church Cathedral present J.S. Bach’s crowning masterpiece, the Mass in B Minor, August 6, 8pm at 911 Quadra Street. This concert event unites eight renowned soloists, an ensemble of the world’s finest Bach chamber music vocalists, and Montreal’s 26-piece Arion Baroque Orchestra under the baton of acclaimed conductor Alexander Weimann. Among his most staggering works, the Mass in B Minor showcases Bach’s sweeping musical genius and technical mastery while evoking a full spectrum of expressive shades and colours.
