EVENTIDE/Pretty Good Not Bad
Featuring:
---WITCH PROPHET
Witch Prophet is a Toronto-based soul/hip-hop artist and collaborator with artists like THEESatisfaction’s Stas. As a member of the Electro Dub Hop group Above Top Secret and co-founder of The 88 Days of Fortune queer-friendly hip-hop/R&B/soul collective, Witch Prophet is no stranger to the Toronto music scene. Their highly anticipated debut album The Golden Octave is set to release this year before the September 1 Pretty Good Not Bad show at Centennial Square.
Since his last performance during the first Eventide Music Series, Grossbuster has released another mind blowing full-length album. Singularity spent so much time as #1 on the CFUV charts that it was considered to be the station’s most popular album of 2015. It’s hard to believe that Grossbuster performs totally live as he integrates a plethora of chopped up samples and beats.
As a veteran of the Victoria electronic and hip hop scene both as a performer and curator, Monolithium knows how to get the people moving. His latest release Tantrummm EP is an impressive mix of dark techno beats and musical intelligence. On September 1 he will be adding Eventide to the long list of festivals and events he’s performed at as he helps close out the series during the Pretty Good Not Bad showcase.
Cathedral Bloom (formerly called Cathedrals) is a magical trio of musical souls that are meant to make sounds together. Their fusion of genres is difficult to describe but sounds exactly right. Make sure you’re there for their electronic/hip hop set on September 1 for the Pretty Good Not Bad show.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
