Featuring:
---RAE SPOON
Rae Spoon is a force to be reckoned with; in addition to being an award-nominated writer, they’ve found time to release 8 full-length albums with a sound that ranges from folk to rock to electronic to punk, all within one track. Their latest release, Armour, is the much anticipated follow-up to the Polaris nominated album My Prairie Home that continues to provide listeners with music that is equal parts intimate and complicated.
Hailing from Anacortes, WA, Karl Blau has made a name for himself as an eclectic folk musician. He incorporates elements from various genres including dub, R&B, bossa nova, grunge, hip hop, drone and international music.
Ora Cogan has an impressive amount of experience under her belt having toured the world and recorded 6 albums as well as her newest EP titled Crystallize. Her smooth and haunting vocals induce a sense of comfort and powerful anticipation for her full-length album Shadowland.
---SUMMERING
Vancouver-based post-rockers Summering are heading to the Island to play the Centennial Square stage during the folk set on August 25th!
Their self-titled debut was released las year to much acclaim. Make sure you don’t miss them this year during Eventide!
