Love grows up: art imitates life, and sometimes the other way around, in this intimate and brave, boldly modern two-act musical that raises a satirical, often hysterical glass to the challenges and titillations of adulthood. Every song is its own revelation—of unrequited loves, midlife crises, remarriages, parent-child role reversals, and (yes, even) aging, gorgeously sung by a seasoned ensemble cast including Kevin Aichele (Evangeline, Charlottetown/Citadel), Danny Balkwill (Mamma Mia!, North American premiere cast), Ma-Anne Dionisio (“Kim” in the original Toronto production of Miss Saigon; two-time Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee), Chris D. King (Into The Woods, Fighting Chance), and Caitriona Murphy (Les Misérables, Chemainus; two-time Jessie Award nominee). Winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical (1989). Directed by Jovanni Sy, with musical direction by Caitlin Hayes and choreography by Dawn Ewen.
