Event Archive - Art Fare and Carnivale: ACAB Rocky, Cleopatra + The Nile, David P. Smith, DJ Fiji Mermaid, The Great Giffoni Magic Show

This lively community outdoor event will include Artisan and Craft Vendors, records (new and used vinyl), live music; Acab Rocky, Cleopatra + The Nile, David P. Smith, mural painting,food trucks, beer garden, taro card reading, portrait drawing, collage making, a magic show and more.

In conjunction with the Art Fare and Carnivale will be the opening reception for an art exhibition in the Slide Room Gallery curated by Laura Gildner: "Consumed". An exhibit examining contemporary intersections and interrelationships between consumption and popular culture featuring painting, photography, sculpture and video art by artists from Ottawa, Montreal, San Francisco, Vancouver and Victoria.

ACAB Rocky (noise-rock/post-ironic swag thrash)

The Great Giffoni Magic Show (Magic)

David Gifford is renowned for his musically-accompanied magic performances that appeal to audiences ranging from the enthusiastic and curious to the sceptical. Gifford is a visual art educator at the University of Victoria and is also a Canada Council for the Arts award recipient and co-founder of the Ministry of Casual Living artist-run centre. more info
