Event Description

. Friday, August 28th IMU presents The WALK-INS, WHITE BLOOD CELLS White Stripes Tribute, The ELEVEN TWELVES & The 3 a.m. @ The Railway Club, 579 Dunsmuir . Show 9:30pm / $10 cover

The WALK-INS have conspired together to create a new musical concoction that seems strangely familiar yet somehow alien. Some say it's blues, some say it's rock or even urban folk... perhaps it's all three mixed together in a musical blender and seasoned with a dash of grit and grind and a hint of grunge. http://www.facebook.com/thewalkinsband

The 3 a.m. is a new blues rockabilly trio formed by Eric, Brendan & Blair, 3 current members of The Walk-Ins! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F2CofSWY-U&feature=share

The ELEVEN TWELVES - Full of fuzzy guitar riffs, soaring harmonies, manic drumming and vintage transistor organ, The Eleven Twelves specialize in playing '60s garage-rock. With a focus on the legendary NUGGETS compilations, they also play obscure gems and one hit wonders from the psychedelic era, capturing the raw energy and youthful spirit of the bands that influenced a generation. http://www.facebook.com/theeleventwelves

WHITE BLOOD CELLS is a Vancouver-based tribute to The White Stripes, one of the leading bands of the post-2000 garage rock revival. Intensely executed with heavily distorted power chords blasting a blasphemous noise, White Blood Cells honour the spirit of the Stripes with their explosive, minimalist, authentic blues rock. http://www.facebook.com/whitebloodcellsbc
