The Gateway Theatre Pacific Festival is a showcase of world-class contemporary theatre from Hong Kong and Canada. Throughout the month of September, Gateway Theatre will present new and exciting theatre from Hong Kong with English surtitles.

Tuesdays with Morrie is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, a successful and career-oriented sports journalist, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch sees Morrie on a television news program and learns that his former professor is battling Lou Gehrig's disease. Mitch decides to visit Morrie, and what starts as a simple reunion turns into a series of meaningful weekly visits. The phenomenal success of this play in Hong Kong is a testament to the universal themes Albom touches upon: forgiveness, family, death, life and love.
