Music in the forest @ 4 locations along the South Side of Lake Lagoon, Stanely Park
As a part of Wild About Vancouver (WAV) Festival 2015, NOW Society takes to the trees with the help of workshop participants from New Westminster Secondary School under the direction of Steve Clements. Acoustics of the wild landscape interact with NOW Society's acoustic instrumentalists as they emerge from the trees playing brand new compositions by Lisa Cay Miller inspired by Lori Sokoluk's stunning landscape paintings.
Featuring:
David Say, Saul Berson, John Paton, Graham Ord, and Bruce Freedman on saxophones; Brad Muirhead and Rod Murray on trombones; John Korsrud on trumpet; students from New Westminster Secondary School; paintings by Lori Sokoluk.
NOW Society gratefully acknowledges the support of British Columbia Arts Council, Telus Community Grants, Canada Council of the Arts, and the City of Vancouver.
