Event Description
Composer, arranger, producer and musician, Karel Roessingh has written scores for over 500 television episodes, & many award-winning films, documentaries, and promotional videos. As well as performing on countless recordings for other artists, he has produced more than fifteen of his own recordings, including several for the Canadian Naturescapes series which have been distributed
world-wide, two jazz trio CDs and many solo piano CDs.
In addition to his career in music, Karel has also been heavily involved in his home community of the Highlands, serving two terms as Mayor and now serving his fifth term as Councilor.

Aaron Scoones is a singer and song writer, whose musical styles are: Jazz, Pop, Light-Rock and Country. He studied in Victoria with Louise Rose and in Boston at the Berkley College of Music. He draws his inspiration from singers like Kurt Elling and Bobby McFerrin as well as Tony Bennett and Harry Connick Jr. Local musicians like Ron Hadley and Daniel Lapp have often featured Scoones in their shows and consider him to be a real treasure with deep talent and engaging stage presence. Also an established recording and live sound engineer, Aaron’s versatility allows him to perform with many local artists including the internationally renowned show band, The Timebenders.
