The Spiral Cafe, The Lee Hamer Band, The B-flat Jammers.
Event Description
Come out and hear this very talented musician who just moved here from Montreal. Lee has been playin' and singing since the 60's, getting his start during the Folk Revival Era in 1968. He played the "coffee house circuit" in Southern Ontario, Montreal, and Vancouver.
His most recent band, "Stillwater", has done very well back east. Lee now calls Victoria his new home, and is into bringing some good sounds and good feelin's to the good folks of Vancouver Island.
His influences include: Dwight Yoakum, Gordon Lightfoot, Alison Krauss, Robert Johnson, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchel, J.J. Cale, as well as writing and recording his own original material. His most recent album was a gospel album which sold very well in the Greater Montreal area. His latest, is a children's album, entitled, "My Goldfish Ate My Homework!", which he wrote for his daughter on her 12th birthday.
So, come out to The Spiral Cafe, and enjoy an evening of good times and good memories.
