How fitting for October...the "Rain Sonata"
First performed in 1879, this timeless sonata has three movements...
Vivace ma non troppo
Adagio - Piu andante - Adagio
Allegro molto moderato

This work from Johannes Brahms epitomizes the Romantic era and evokes the gentle flow of tears and rain in a truly poetic manner, through movements that are eventually hopeful, and finally triumphant happiness, with tender reminiscences of the past.
