Prepare. For. Something... in the realm of Spoken Word
We will meditate, write, think and play - hard and soft - silly and serious. We will voice our ideas, we will learn more about ourselves and each other and then, we will bend metal with our minds. Ubiquitous Sheri-D Wilson will be present - to guide this workshop.

Opportunities for young artists to receive mentorship and professional development are a boon to any art form. We are fortunate to have some great programs and festivals dedicated to offering spoken word artists these opportunities. Join us for a panel discussion with representatives from The Banff Centre Spoken Word Program, the Victoria Spoken Word Festival, Sage Hill Writing Experience, and the Winnipeg Spoken Word Festival to learn about some of the great work being done to provide these opportunities.
"CFSW Poetry Slam: Bouts #8 and #10" :: 7:00 - 9:00 PM, 9:00 - 11:00 PM :: $12 (regular) $7 (student)
Four teams compete in a four-round poetry slam judged by the audience. Poetry slam is a competition in which poets present original work without the use of costumes, props, or musical accompaniment, within a three minute time limit.
