Event Description

On Saturday, September 6th, 2014
our Open House is going to be great fun for the whole family!
10am – 3pm concert 1pm Alix Goolden Performance Hall

The Victoria Conservatory of Music is looking forward to entertaining the entire community with live musical performances, awesome instruments in our petting zoo and free ice cream for all ages.

KIDS

After bouncing with new friends in our bouncy castle and enjoying your musical goodie bags we think this year your highlight of our Open House will be the very exciting FREE concert from three time JUNO Award nominees for Children’s Album of the Year, THE KERPLUNKS!

The Kerplunks are multi-award winning children’s entertainers bringing high-energy, colourful performances to the stage- with outfits that match! The Kerplunks play catchy tunes guaranteed to get kids engaged, singing along and joining in on the actions. Dinah plays the upright bass and really belts it out! She also plays the kazoo like a madwoman! Tina plays the trumpet, trombone, clarinet, baritone and also sings. Watch out for when she busts a rhyme, yo! Phil plays the drums, keeping everyone in time and really likes to “Go Bananas”. Aaron plays the acoustic guitar, sings harmonies and makes great faces.

TEENS

DJ’s will be spinning on our Pandora Music Plaza and jamming with Rock and Folk artists plus we’ve added some very cool instruments to try in our petting zoo like electronic drums, samplers and more! Plus who doesn’t dig free ice cream.

ADULTS

Explore all of the amazing musical opportunities the VCM provides. Classes, Workshops, Ensembles that fit your families busy schedule. Great food, free treats and a free concert makes Saturday, September 6th a awesome day to visit 900 Johnson St.

HUNGRY? We’ve got ‘THE MELT’ Grilled Cheese Truck joining us this year! They’ll be serving up a great ‘Open House Special’ on their classic grilled cheese… yum!

SEE YOU THERE!
