Event Description

For two days, step back in time to a hundred years ago when the First World War was just beginning. Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site and the Victoria-Esquimalt Military Reenactors Assication will present an Edwardian picnic and 1914 recruitment station, complete with field games, cricket, firearms demonstrations and period music. This event will have activities for all ages that will help to show the moods and attitudes in Victoria in 1914. Come dressed in your Downton Abbey best and partake in high tea, cool soda, and lectures by local historians.
