Strange-folk phenomenon Wax Mannequin is well-travelled. He has crossed a wide range of terrain — both sonic and physical — this decade past. Through his catalogue of secretly renowned recordings and his riotous live performances at countless venues and festivals, Wax continues to bring his essential voice and vision to both sides of the Atlantic. His legend grows through word-of-mouth as his music is passed from hand-to-hand — his influence trickles down from the minds of wayward kindred souls, insidiously seeping into the poetic heart of this country.

Former member of HOT HOT HEAT, WOLF PARADE current member of JOHNNY AND THE MOON. Dante is working on refining his solo material at the Copper Owl and we're stoked to have him!

Ryan Beattie aka Himalayan Bear is no stranger to the local Victoria Scene. A former member of FROG EYES, he is now working with the great and reformed CHET and his newest project BLUESY MOODS. Ryan's voice is unmistakable, passionate and driving. Ryan is also an accomplished guitar player. Most recently he worked with KATHRYN CALDER on her soon to be released record. Ryan also has an outlet for his electronic musings with THE TREACHERY MAN!! Be sure to check out this show. If you haven't seen Ryan yet, don't miss out because you'll probably go to every other show he plays too.
