The UVic Orchestra performs Le Carnival Romain Overture, Op. 9 by Berlioz, Gérard Grisey’s Modulations, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92. With Ajtony Csaba, conductor. The concert will be punctuated by
multimedia interventions highlighting Learning Without Borders projects from various departments across campus. Theatre, song, visual art, and spoken word will shine a spotlight on the many ways members of the campus community are working to internationalize the curriculum and campus life and may change the way you experience the familiar.
This concert is part of IdeaFest 2014 (http://www.uvic.ca/ideafest/), a UVic event celebrating research and creativity.
Tickets available at the UVic Ticket Centre (250-721-8480/www.tickets.uvic.ca) and at the door. Complimentary tickets available for UVic students with valid ID, if reserved in advance. Tickets are $5 for UVic students at the door. $5.00 tickets are available for students in grade 12 or under if reserved up to 48 hours in advance. Accompanying parents & guardians also qualify for $5 pricing.
