The UVic Chorus and Orchestra perform Beethoven’s Egmont-Ouverture and Meeresstille und Glückliche Fahrt;
Grondahl’s Concerto for Trombone, featuring soloist Liam Caveney, winner of the UVic Concerto Competition; Shostakovich’s Festive Ouverture; Chant du Deportes by Messiaen; and Poulenc’s Gloria. With Ajtony Csaba, conductor and Susan Young, chorus director.
Tickets available at the UVic Ticket Centre (250-721-8480 /www.tickets.uvic.ca) and at the door. Complimentary tickets are available for UVic students with valid ID, if reserved in advance. Tickets are $5 for UVic students at the door.
