Event Description

Five fine Victoria ensembles will be collaborating for these performances which will feature Nicholas Fairbank’s Arctic-inspired Isbjørn!, written in Svalbard, north of the Arctic Circle, in the fall of 2012. Vox Humana, Ensemble Laude, Viva Youth Choirs, Via Choralis and Hexaphone all join up for a concert of great choral works, concluding with the première of Isbjørn! which makes use of the spacious acoustics of St. Elizabeth’s Church and the Cathedral to elicit the vast openness of the Arctic wilderness
