Event Description

THE GETTIN' HIGHER CHOIR'S FALL 2013 NEW SINGERS INTAKE

Group singing is cheaper than therapy, healthier than drinking, and certainly more fun than working out.
~ Stacey Horn, author of Imperfect Harmony: Finding Happiness Singing With Others.

From first time singers to all-the-timers, from the hesitant to the eager, from the nervous to the confident the Gettin’ Higher Choir welcomes all voices!

Come sing with us at any of our no-obligation, no-audition New Singers Intake evenings for our 2013 Fall Season. If what we do is a fit for you please join us!

Mondays - Sept. 23 & 30
First Unitarian Church of Victoria, 5575 West Saanich Road (opposite the Red Barn)

Tuesdays - Sept. 24 & Oct. 1 and Thursdays - Sept 26 & Oct 3
Church of Truth, 111 Superior Street (at St. Lawrence Street by Fisherman’s Wharf)

We will have a half hour New Singer Orientation at 7:00 p.m. on each of the above evenings. The actual choir session on each of these nights will run from 7:30 - 9:30. Feel free to bring any interested friends.

Lots more information about our singing community can be found on our web site at: http://www.gettinhigherchoir.ca

We are not associated with any particular religion or spiritual path but we do seek to embrace and celebrate humanity’s highest aspirations through music, welcoming people of all ages and cultures and singing songs from many eras and genres.

Choir fees are $175 for the 17 week season with a sliding scale discount from there down to $130 for seniors/students/unwaged available to those who need it. If a discounted fee is appropriate for you we ask you to decide where on the sliding scale you fit based on your knowledge of your own finances. Payment plans and partial or full scholarships are also available if needed. Our bottom line is, no one misses choir because of money.

We look forward to singing with you!
