Event Description
JFK Productions and Northern Electric are thrilled to present: END-OF-SUMMER ROCK ’N’ ROLL BLOWOUT!
Round TWO: JFK takes on Chapel Arts!
Join us Friday, September 6th at Chapel Arts for star-studded performances by JFK, “the fuck band with no limits”; the soul-shaking Stingin’ Hornets; Vancouver’s first punk band the Furies; singer/songwriter Reid Jamieson; and Hula Hoopin’ with Shannon!
Full disclosure: this show may just change your life!
Featuring luminaries of the local scene, JFK performs classic selections of Vancouver and international punk circa 1977-1983, as well as rock ‘n’ roll/ rockabilly from 1955 until now! They will be joined by a host of celebrity guest vocalists including: I, Braineater, Dennis Mills (Jazzmanian Devils), Eddy Dutchman (the Liquor Kings), Bob Mercer, Dolly Haze, and more! JFK itself is comprised of Vancouver all-stars, collectively boasting a rock ’n’ roll resume that speaks for itself: Brian Goble (Subhumans, DOA, Rude Norton, the Trespassers), Bob Beaudine (Mud Bay Blues Band, Frank Frink Five, Buddy Selfish), Joe Rotundo (Bughouse 5, the Modelos), Mike Van Eyes (Trespassers, the Epics), and Kevin Keating (JP5, Kreviss).
One of Vancouver’s original rockabilly bands, the renowned STINGIN' HORNETS energetically light up the dance floor, leaving no one in their seats! The band features Howard Rix (the Scramblers, Trespassers), Jimmy Roy, Mike Van Eyes, Ian Tiles (Pointed Sticks, Payolas, Buddy Selfish) and more.

It is our pleasure in particular to welcome Vancouver’s legendary first punk band back to the stage for a rare performance. Chris Arnett (the Shades), Taylor Little (the Shades, Payolas) and John Werner are the fabled FURIES, who arguably started it all in the mid-70s. Playing their first show in ’77 (one of only nine!), they sparked something in the hearts and minds of many of the people they’ll be sharing the stage with, inspiring them to create seminal punk bands of their own. It’s an honour to have them on board for their first show in a year!

An incredible voice, therapeutic lyrics and a magical way with melodies make Reid Jamieson one of a very special kind.
