The Taboo Revue Debuts "How to Seduce a Lover"
On Saturday January 22nd Screaming Chicken's Taboo Revue will debut its latest theatrical burlesque performance "How to Seduce a Lover" at the Brickyard (315 Carrall St.).
Prior to the turn of the century, P.T. Barnham combined bawdy comedy, music and dance into a new show which he titled burlesque. His new show was immediately successful with the working class and continued for years before the genre became unpopular in more conservative times.
How to Seduce a Lover is a return to this Theater of the Everyman. Through saucy humor incorporated into sexy musical and dance numbers, the cast will teach the audience a number sure fire techniques to seduce a lover just in time for Valentine's Day.
The new performance features Taboo Revue regulars Melody Mangler, Bernie Bombay, The Sinful Sirens and Evil Bastard as well as introducing a handful of new dancers and singers.
In addition to How to Seduce a Lover, the Revue also features a performance of the popular Gameshow Night, a twisted parody of TV game show favorites, and musical guests The Jazz Nazis.
