Event Description

On Tuesday, January 22nd The Absolute Underground Store/Gallery in downstairs Trounce Alley, located at 1215 Government Street, will play host to the opening of an artshow, “The King of Cardboard” dedicated to the body of work by local artist ASTK. Focusing on mixed media including stencils on cardboard, stencils on vinyl records & a large panel graffiti pieces on wood. You may have seen these little gems of pop culture icons, political figures etc up around town on tiny placards of cardboard over the past few years but they disappear quickly as there are many rabid collectors out there. For the first time in one place they will all be on display, with a limited edition stencil available to the first 50 attendees of the opening event being created by the artist specifically for the show. Come down to the Absolute Underground gallery to enjoy drinks and snacks in honour of the artists Birthday and the opening of this show bringing the world of street art to the gallery setting.
