Kate Reid, musical activist and local singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC will be performing an afternoon show from 4-6pm at The Well (841 Fort Street, Victoria, BC) on Sunday, October 14th. With three studio releases to her credit, her albums Comin’ Alive (2006), I’m Just Warming Up (2009) and Doing it for the Chicks (2011) have earned her critical acclaim and diverse grassroots following across Canada and into the USA. With a style she refers to as slam-story-telling meets acoustic folk-country, Kate Reid’s tongue-in-cheek humour and raw, no-holds-barred style of song-writing and storytelling will surely entertain and it just might be the best 20 bucks you spent on a Sunday afternoon in a long time.
