Society For Indian Classical Arts (SICA), belonging to the University of Victoria Student Society presents "Sarangi Duet and Tabla Indian Classical Music concert by Dilshad Khan (Sarangi), Sabir Khan (Sarangi) and Hanif Khan (Tabla).
Sarnagi (sau=hundred, rang=colours) is a short necked bowed string instrument of India that is said to mimic the human voice very closely. The artists belong to the Sikar Gharana and were trained by the Sarangi maestro Padma Bhushan Ustad Sultan Khan. All the artists performed extensively worldwide, collaborated with many renowned artists as well as played music in many bollywood movies.
