Event Description

Renowned cultural journalist, University of Guelph research chair, and senior contributing editor to Border Crossings magazine Robert Enright, C.M., will look at William Kurelek through the lens of artistic production, both historical and contemporary. Kurelek’s work was very different from that of his peers, and Enright examines the grim, the frightening and the funny through a varied and interesting selection of artists. Enright’s lecture relates to the William Kurelek: The Messenger exhibition which is open at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria until September 3.

Please note, this is expected to be a popular lecture. There are no advance tickets, however admission for the lecture will commence at 6pm. Price: regular Gallery admission, members enter for free. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
