Joe Powers, World Champion Harmonica Player Returns

Jazz/Jazz-Tango with Kelby McNyar on Percussion (Victoria) and Eric Verlinde on Piano (Seattle) at; Joe’s concert sold out last summer at Hermanns’, get your tickets early!

Award winning Harmonica virtuoso, Joe Powers is known throughout the world as a premier Tango artist, yet his musical interests also include Jazz-Fusion, Classical, Blues, Pop-Rock, Brazilian, Hip-Hop, Latin, New Age, World Traditions, and more. He has played on stages as diverse as the jazz clubs of the Pacific Northwest, the salons of Buenos Aires and the concert halls of symphony orchestras.
He was the winner of the Belgian Crystal Harmonica Award in the Classical Division (2008) and received 4th place in Jazz Diatonic, at the World Harmonica Championship in Germany (2005). He continues to perform and teach throughout North and South America, Europe, Scandinavia, Japan and South Korea, appearing on TV and Radio, and collaborating with renowned artists and ensembles as diverse as the countries he visits.
