New Works by Alonzo King (11 dancers) Contemporary
When San Francisco’s LINES Ballet performed in Victoria in 2008, the Times Colonist said, “There is genius evident in the choreography of Alonzo King.” They return this season with two new works that once again showcase the grace and elegance, the fire and commitment of these eleven exquisite dancers. King is the future of contemporary ballet, creating small gems with such attention to detail – each piece is finely honed and polished. Watching LINES perform is like entering an ethereal world.
Join us before the show for a pre-show chat in the theatre lobby prior to the performance. We invite a member of the company to talk about their experience dancing, choreographing or even touring the performance you’re about to see. Our pre-show chats begin about 45 minutes prior to curtain and are free to all ticket holders.
