Event Description

RENNIE FOSTER - Tokyo/ Vancouver
Rebirth / Subject Detroit / Klik Recordings / Dirty Works

With a bounty of releases on legendary House and Techno labels such as F-Communications, Synewave and classic Detroit labels like Teknotika, Soiree, Motech and Subject Detroit amongst many others, 2 full length albums and remixes for artists such as Swayzak, Alain Ho, John Beltran, Jaun Atkins and Gerald Mitchell (Underground Resistance), Rennie Foster has established himself over the past decade as one of the most recognizable Canadian names in underground dance music.
Rennie is well known known for the underground club anthem "Devil's Water" heavily championed by Sasha, James Holden and many other tastemakers.
His music has been remixed by many top artists such as James Zabiela and Kiki as well as licensed to compilations by artists like Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Trentmoller.
Rennie has recently returned to Canada after living 8 years in Tokyo where he reached LOUD magazine's "Top 50 DJs in Japan" ranking 3 years in a row.
Rennie has also toured extensively playing all over Japan, Europe, especially France and Belgium, as well as New York City.
After releasing his album "Blood Sugar" on Rebirth Records, Italy in 2010, and the popular corresponding remix package featuring Samuel L. Session (most charted track, Resident Advisor, April 2011), Uner, Jay Shepheard, Coyu and Edu Imbernon and members of Cobblestone Jazz (aka Floppy Don), Rennie began work on his third artist album "Floatilla" to be released February 2012 from Klik Records, Greece.
“Get yourself acquainted with Mr.Foster quick-smart” – DJ magazine, UK.

MIKE GANO

Having been relocated from San Francisco, Gano is now one of the fastest growing names in the BC dance music scene. Not that his name is getting longer, but with a flurry of big performances, has come a surge of loyal Booty Shakers and Disciples to his sound. And while Ganos' sound itself draws on a decade of experience, exploring underground scenes across North America, in just the past year his name has appeared alongside such international talent as Deep Dish, Gaudi, Terry Francis, and Kenny Glasgow. Also, Gano now joins some of our most passionate, dedicated local artists as the newest member of Sunset Collaborations. Catch him dancing behind the decks and Laying the Wobblin' Bass on Thick at a dance floor near you!

NATRON

In the seven years Natron has been DJing his sound and style has evolved as his fascination and inspiration within electronic music takes new shape and direction. Natron began DJing within the sounds of Progressive House, drawing motivation from the music being played and produced by Sasha & John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, and Shiloh. However, as his interest and passion for electronic music grew over the years so has his musical tastes. Fast forward now to 2010 and feeling incredibly inspired by Rolling, Funky, Minimal Grooves, Natron has taken his musical direction to more of an Energetic Fusion of Organic Techno and House, Laden with Percussion Rolls, Synth Stabs, and Smooth Bass Lines. With his inherent gift for track selection and programming Natrons' ability to move a dance floor in one cohesive sweaty groove is unmatched. With a full schedule of shows on his plate and Natrons’ addition to the Sunset Collaborations team, 2011 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for this committed artist!
