The modelos -
... You're lucky to live in Vancouver, where even a Monday night is a party. Nothing lends itself to a good old fashioned hoedown like a performance by The Modelos, Vancouver's premiere Cowboy Surf Rock bands (although how many could there be?). The group boasts some accomplished guitar slingers from bands as diverse as The Bughouse... 5, Econoline Crush, and one of the members is even the organist for the Vancouver Canucks (how awesome is that, really?). The Modelos take the stage every 3rd Monday night at Railway Club. Expect Ennio Morricone rhythms, upbeat instrumentals, and whole lot of dancing.

Paul Rigby -

Paul Rigby's unique style of guitar playing is a meld of musical influences ranging from African pop to jazz, country and rock'n roll. Paul was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1971 and has lived in Vancouver since 1996. He is currently working with Neko Case, and has toured and recorded with the likes of Carolyn Mark, Garth and Maud Hudson, Calexico, and Jakob Dylan. His devotion to each artist's vision as well as his versatility on guitar, mandolin, pedal steel and banjo keeps him busy and happy.
