Event Description

Vancouver Fashion Week presents the official after party hosted at Forum Sports Bar. This is one line up of bands you are not going to want to miss!

MCM:

MCM (Multi-Coloured Mischief) is a local band ready to take the next step into the music scene. Bursting with energy and a need to ROCK, MCM's dynamic style and high energy music will leave you wanting more. MCM has shared stages with the likes of The Cat Empire, Daniel Wesley, The Wilderness Crew, Aaron Nazrul and the Boom Booms among many others. The band's undeniable musical connection due to a long history of friendship, and family-like love and support shine's through their performances.

The Ruffled Feathers:

The Ruffled Feathers began in 2009 when multi-instrumentalist Charley Wu met the beautiful vocalist Gina Loes while studying at UBC in Vancouver. The horn playing Andrew Lee was soon added to the pack and the trio soon began to explore a sound that wanders amongst the borderlands of folk, chamber-pop, and indie rock. With the addition of Sam MacKinnon on drums and Matty Jeronimo on bass, the group released their Lost Cities EP in Fall of 2010.
The Ruffled Feathers are known for the enthusiasm and crowd participation at their live shows.

Valley:

The heavy indie trio which is Valley, tells a story through dark ambience and infectious rhythms. Having shared the stage with acts such as Tokyo Police Club, Current Swell, and Daniel Wesley, Valley continues to perform all original music along the west coast of Canada. Soon you will be captured by the heavy sound of Valley.

Full Function

Full Function is the production and DJ alias of Sean Evans. A longtime fixture in the Victoria's live music and club scene, Sean has spent the past 5 years working and challenging crowds around him. in 2011 we see He has finally decided to dedicate himself to a solo endeavor. Full Function DJ sets can go anywhere, from jacking 808 house to modal jazz right with a hard left to RnB and Heavy bass. In the coming months Sean will be pleased to debut both the Full Function EP and live set. Get ready, this kid is hungry.

Rory Storm and the Hurricanes:

Rory Storm and the Hurricanes was started by three guys from London, Ontario who all eventually moved into the same house in Burnaby, BC. They all went to the same high school in London and played in various bands separately then all decided to move to BC for various reasons. This is where the band started. Soon, they played their first show in their old stomping grounds of London. Once they got back out west they decided they needed a bassist and in came Luke, from North Van. Now they are all living together in a house in Vancouver with continual inspiration from their wilderness expert Drew Foys
