PERFORMANCE AND FUNDRAISER
An evening of political, humourous and thought-provoking music with FAITH NOLAN, Canadian Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Social Activist. Not to be missed!
Known for her social activism, Faith will be in Vancouver to participate in the Downtown Eastside's Annual Women' s Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Women and related events. She'll also be performing at the women's prison.
Faith: African, Miqmaq and Irish heritage, self-taught musician, raised in Nova Scotia and later in Toronto, came out early as a lesbian where she sang in the local bars.
Faith's commitment to social justice comes from her life experiences and the people she grew up with, and she works through the cultural tool of music. Her music is her political work, a politics firmly rooted in being working class, a woman, African Canadian and queer. She has performed at Concerts, Music Festivals, Conferences, Universities, Rallies, and Women's Events etc... Using music to bring about social change for a fairer and better world.
