The Blanket Orchestra performs their ELECTRIC BLANKET @ 1067 on Saturday August 14th, 2010. Doors: 9:30pm. $5. Two sets. Refreshments will be served!

the
ELECTRIC BLANKET is a conglomeration of new compositions by Daryn Cassie, Alice Hamilton, Lee Hutzulak, John Mutter, Wynston Minckler and Kevin Romain that use Claude Debussy's "Nocturnes: nuages" as raw material. These new compositions were musically “sewn” together, forming one longer, complex piece.

The Blanket Orchestra is a community-minded non-profit ensemble designed as a vehicle for musical improvisation and new compositions. The Blanket Orchestra also presents a series for experimental and improvised music called “onetwothreefourfivesixseven.”

The Blanket Orchestra Board of Directors:
Alice Hamilton: executive director.
John Mutter: artistic director.
Jonathon Wilcke: director of philosophy.
Kevin Romain: director of food and beverage.
