Event Description

Thursday, May 20th: RAISED BY SWANS with PINK MOTH, and D TREVLON
London, Ontario's RAISED BY SWANS are taking their "gorgeous ambient soundscapes" (MuchMusic.com)

on the road to a city near you this May in support of their brand new album, No Ghostless Place.
Entering the national Canadian airplay charts at #24 (!earshot Magazine) in its first week of release, No Ghostless Place continues the band's exploration of tension and release — combining ethereal guitar sounds and intimate vocals to create exhilarating, deftly rhythmic tracks, and sparse, delicate laments that could make a robot's eyes tear up. It's an album of surprisingpotency that reveals new layers with each listen.
"The band takes time sinking their hooks into your skin. And then, without warning, they rip them out in a swell of emotion and well-crafted lyrics," writes Tyler Ostermayer at The Weal in Calgary.
Academy Award- and Palme d'Or-nominated director Atom Egoyan included two songs from No Ghostless Place in his latest film, Chloe. The band also appears as itself in the film, which stars Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson.

Pink Moth is the Toronto based musical project of Ray Cammaert, ex-leader of Maps of the Night Sky. Pink Moth's music is lyrical, emotionally charged, dynamic folk and has been compared to Neutral Milk Hotel, Syd Barrett, Pavement, and David Bowie. Their debut full-length, The Wild, has garnered rave reviews and made the top ten at various college radio stations.
