Plastic Motive: <------- BIRTHDAY BOY!

Hailing from Victoria, BC, by way of Toronto, Canada, Plastic Motive has been active in the electronic music scene for well over a decade. He began playing in 1998 and from '99-'05 Plastic Motive held down DJ residencies with such comapanies as Goodfellaz, ONdaFLY, Impure, and Sourkee Productions, all in the southern Ontario area. In his time in Toronto he would also help run two highly successful weekly nights (Funk'N Fridaze and Re-Form Saturday's) bringing local and international artists to all ages as well as 19+ crowds. Since his move to Victoria just over 3 years ago, Plastic Motive has continued to throw shows as well as managing to open for Frankie Bones in Kansas City, rocked the decks at the corner of Freemont and Las Vegas Blvd, and headlined in Shanghai, China!! With recent stops in Rotterdam and Berlin, Plastic Motive has played in other such cities as New York, Montreal, Vancouver and Seattle, and has opened for names such as The Breakfastaz, Micky Finn, DJ Venom and Luna-C. He plays hard, he plays funky, he'll make you freak on the dance floor like you've never freaked before!! Big Breaks and Heavy Bass are at the top of the menue when this man comes to town, and he's ready to serve it to you red hot! Get ready to get it on!!!

C-Majah:

Cedar “C Majah” Hanneson was born in a stone cabin on Mount Malahat. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he enjoyed his dad's reggae bands and developed a passion for music. In high school, he furthered this by participating in chamber choir and vocal jazz. He didn't get his first pair of turntables until 2001; but, quickly developed a love of electronic music, especially breaks. Despite being a dirty hippie, he succeeded in university and the business world. Owning a record store since 2003 has given him the opportunity to specialize his set creating a unique sound combining his passions for breaks and dancehall reggae. He knows how to rock a party with his peak time nu skool breaks and is always happy to hop on the mic and get the crowd going whether he's on tour or in his hometown of Victoria , BC , Canada. With an extensive record collection, he'll pull out anything from Collie Buddz to Regina Spektor for the right crowd at the right time. Expect an impressive blend of rare gems, underplayed oldies, fresh breaks anthems and self-produced tracks.
