In the Spring of 2008 singer/songwriter Mark Bridgeman, pianist Andrew Rasmussen, bass player Marcus Abramzik and drummer Josh Contant began practice sessions to form what would become prominent Vancouver group FRANCO. Though having a collective age of only 22, the members of FRANCO have opened for 54-40, Econoline Crush, Sweatshop Union and released three albums. In February of 2009 FRANCO were given a showcase spot on Victoria’s premier pop/rock station 91.3 the Zone Fm. Later that same year their song "Forever” was chosen as CBC Radio Almanac's Theme song.
REDGY BLACKOUT

A dynamic rock quartet with a heart full of love, Redgy Blackout’s diverse sound ranges from funk and swing to reggae and rock. Their debut album, The Leap, had spins on over 150 stations across North America, chartin in Louisiana, in New York City on the renowned M3 radio and in Colorado, where they had a #1 with their song “Nothing at All”.
WATASUN
http://www.myspace.com/watasun
Critics describe Watasun as a very fun, upbeat band that interacts well with their audience, sharing feelings of excitement and liberation through music. Reid Hendry is the multi-talented percussionist who performs a locked-in groove on the Cajon, often accompanied with Caribbean vibes from the sound of his steel pan. Ronii Wata, the other half of the duo, provides Watasun with a powerful voice through singing and free-styling, thought provoking lyrics along with a signature strumming style from his miniature acoustic guitar.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
