Event Description
Saint Cecilia’s Day Concert
Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of the arts. Late November is a traditional time for all artists and musicians to give thanks for their gifts, and for the support of their patrons.
With this in mind, Vancouver Public Library invites you to a free afternoon concert in the annual celebration of St. Cecilia’s Day, and in honour of late patron and Vancouver Public Library supporter, Luciano Vascotto. The concert will be hosted by Vancouver impresario and pianist Karen Lee-Morlang and will feature some of Vancouver’s top young professional classical musicians, including: Erin Marks, oboe; Yuel Yawney, violin; Katy Hedalen, soprano and D.J. Calhoun, baritone.
Date: Thursday, November 19, 2009
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Place: Alice MacKay Room, Vancouver Public Library’s Central Branch
Admission: Free, but space may be limited
