D2D is back! One year after their sold-out CD release party, Delhi 2 Dublin returns to
the Red Room for a scorching hot live set of fresh new material. A 5-piece mashup of electronica and global music styles, the band seamlessly fuses tabla, fiddle, dhol, punjabi vocals, and electric sitar with electronic beats ranging from reggae to house to
drum and bass. Over the summer, their outrageously high energy live show made them favorites at many of BC's festivals (including the Vancouver Folk Music Festival and Shambhala); they've recently completed successful tours of Eastern Canada and California.
This past year saw their first CD rocket up to #3 on the Canadian World Music charts, and their music is on regular rotation at the CBC, Radio-Canada, BBC, and college radio stations from Japan to Scotland. Recently, Delhi 2 Dublin teamed up with some of their
favorite producers from around the globe, including DJ Swami (UK), David Starfire (LA), Adham Shaikh (Nelson) and Eccodek (Guelph), to re-visit their first album - only this time with more bass, more energy and more funk! On November 20th, the band will be
performing the remixes live and for the very first time. Remix CDs will be available at the gig. For more on the band, check out http://www.delhi2dublin.com OR view their video:

This gig also marks Beats Without Borders' 4th Anniversary! After 4 years, over 40 parties, and many international headliners (including Cheb i Sabbah, Gaudi, Adham Shaikh, Jef Stott, Janaka Selekta, Maga Bo, Sub Swara, etc etc), the BWB collective is still presenting one of the hottest global electronica nights on the planet. They've become the club night for 'non-club' people in Vancouver - the monthly escape for listeners and dancers who want to explore the farthest reaches of sound. Join us for this special anniversary featuring all 4 BWB DJs (Lady Ra, Nils, Adrian and Tspoon) and VJ Suez for their 4th birthday!
