"Happy and Glorious"—with a programme of music we all know and love, including Beethoven's Ode to Joy. Vancouver's annual salute to London's concert of the same name, the climax of the BBC's Promenade Concerts— so popular it has been re-created around the world. The concert ends with all the old Last Night of the Proms favourites, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and much more. Bruce Pullan conducts the Last Night of the Proms with the Bach Choir, the Vancouver Bach Children's Chorus and the Vancouver Symphony. Bring your teddy bears for the annual best-dressed teddy bear competition which takes place in the intermission, with first, second, and third prizes going to the best dressed teddy bears in British style!
