REQUIEM FOR PEACE: Vancouver Bach Choir

Event Description

Integrating poetry in twelve languages, the Requiem for Peace is an international call for reconciliation. The Requiem will be paired with a newly commissioned work by Canadian composer, Amir Koushkani. Bruce Pullan, conductor, Robyn Driedger Klassen, soprano, Grace Chan, mezzo soprano, Peter McGillivray, baritone, with the Vancouver Symphony. A symposium on the theme of Larry Nickel's Requiem for Peace will be held a few days before the concert. A group of speakers will examine relevant questions from varying points of view and the choir will sing excerpts from the work itself.
