. Saturday, Oct 4th I.M.U. presents A SHEEP AT THE WHEEL, DAN SWINIMER & WAY TO GO EINSTEIN @ The Bourbon, 50 West Cordova . Early show 8-11pm sharp / Purchase advance tickets online @ www.imuproductions.com
A SHEEP AT THE WHEEL fuses pulsing riff-laden verses, huge hooky choruses and powerful vocals in an original alt-rock package. Since the 2005 release of their first EP, Blend, the Sheep won the UBC Battle of the Bands, were voted among the top three new independent bands two years running in the Georgia Straight, have played BC Place and the Pacific Coliseum, and opened for big acts like Finger Eleven, Edwin, and Wide Mouth Mason. Their new record "Dreams and Debris" is a well-crafted mix of catchy rock tunes. The video for the lead single recently made it to #15 on YouTube! www.asheepatthewheel.com
DAN SWINIMER - Jet Black Stare's Dan Swinimer is fresh off of a 4 month state-side tour and is getting down to basics with his guitar in order to treat the crowd to a special acoustic solo set of his songs. Be sure to come out and check out one of Vancouver's finest songsmiths! www.myspace.com/danswinimer
WAY TO GO EINSTEIN is a solid modern rock act blending creative songwriting with superb guitars and piano. Compared to such acts as Muse and Coldplay, they recently completed their second CD "Pseudonym", to be released in early 2009. In the past few months they've been playing throughout Vancouver, bringing the intensity of their new songs to a live setting. Building on the buzz of their first release, "Hide and Seek Champion", the second album promises to bring much more attention, stimulated ears, moved souls, and ironic band name loving fans. www.myspace.com/waytogoeinstein
