The debut screening of a documentary about legendary Anarchist Vancouver
Noise/Punk/No-Wave band TUNNEL CANARY. Tunnel Canary was formed in 1978 and
played numerous shows up until 1983, including guerilla style street performances
drawing crowds of 100-250 people, often being broken up by the police. Now for the
first time in 30 years this important peice of Vancouver's underground music
history comes to light in this new full lenght documentary by Eric Lohrenz. features
live footage and interveiws with Tunnel Canary, The Haters, Brutophilia and more.

Tunnel Canary
Tunnel Canary originally formed in 1978(see Punk History Canada.ca) for
details. This will be the first time they have played in 25 years.Their
CD Jihad was released in 2007 and available at Zulu records. The
general creative approach of the band can be summed up in the
following quote from the writings of Cornelius Cardew-
"The ideology of a ruling class is present in its art implicitly, the
ideology of a revolutionary class must be expressed in its art
explicitly."
Oscillating Innards:
"Realized in 2001, Oscillating Innards is a solo audial manifestation of Gordon Ashworth (also of Concern, Riverbed Mausoleum, Black Air). Expressed through vehement, deliberate electro-acoustic harsh noise, deep drone compositions, and texturally complex sound collage, recent performances and recordings focus on themes of depersonalization, failed art and maudlinism. "

Brutophilia (Victoria, B.C.)
Back from a recent tour of europe, Brutophilia deftly blends harsh
noise and power electronics into a dense mass of violent fits of
anger, screaming jags, and old-fashioned pure industrial punishment.
Ejaculation Death Rattle
An unholy poisoning of ambient, free-folk and pseudo psychedelic primitivism amid sweeping tides of noise, drone music worship, spastic panning, bent and decayed notes, and assorted digital debris meant to keep everyone off balance. Deceptively improvised, and/or intentionally contrived? An atypical journey through uplifting murk and lurid bliss.

Rusalka
Inspired by nature and desolate landscapes Rusalka is a solo project,
from a small town outside of Vancouver, consisting of synth and tape
manipulation.
Fistopia
Southern Alberta's proof that something is very wrong. Harsh pedal noise with a total garbage assault and vocals from the bottom of a dumpster in the wrong part of town.
THE RITA
Canadian harsh noise project THE RITA is from Kelowna, BC and made it's start in 1996 with it's first cassette release. Since then THE RITA has moved to Vancouver, BC and has played live regularly in the Lower Mainland, extensively in the US, and last year the project toured Japan. THE RITA interests that inspire his crumbling walls of analog harsh noise include Italian Giallo films, the Gillman, Lake Nicaragua Bull sharks, silent and pre-code actresses, vintage dirt bikes, Giovannona Long-Thigh, and Malizia. THE RITA has various international CD, cassette, and vinyl harsh noise releases that are all representative of his focus on the 'powerful minimalist deconstruction of the harsh noise object' via audial structures of distortion.
BLUE SABBATH BLACK CHEER
From a cold dark place known as the Bleak Village (Seattle), Blue Sabbath Black Cheer are a
demon-network of scraping nails and heavy fists, howling torments set to bad vibes. Drawing influence from HEAVY, combining cold atmospherics from the darkest depths of the collective psyche, flesh-slicing sonic mayhem with a bitter disregard for humanity, this brutal duo swears by sonic confrontation. For fans of G.I.S.M., The New Blockaders, Crash Worship ADRV, and Moevot, not for fans of music.

Redglaer is a noise artist based in Portland OR. over the last 20 years i've been involved in a wide range of live creative weirdness - homemade percussion ensembles, Balinese gamelan, dance/performance art sound scores, installation art. for the last 8 years i've been primarily focused on live experimental electronic noise art, and have toured extensively in the western US, as well as Europe and Indonesia. i was formerly based in Los Angeles, where i ran the sub-garde experimental music/performance space the Il Corral, and curated the Beyond Music series and festival. i currently operate the label Anarchymoon Recordings, and am active in various ensembles including KILT, Dead Wolf Black, Purple Pansy, Feed the Dragon, and LAMFs.

Experimental musician and producer from Portland, OR. Has performed shows and
festivals throughout the West Coast and and collaborated with artists
