EDWIN's third solo album "Better Days" is a positive, reflective album filled with heart and soul. Written while the platinum-selling singer-songwriter took a nearly four year retreat from recording and performing live, it was produced by Jeff Dalziel and engineered by Denis Tougas, the same team he worked with on his last album, "Edwin And The Pressure". Special guests on the new album include Alex Lifeson (Rush), who created some beautiful guitar textures and atmosphere on 'Light Reflects' and 'Eyes', Ian Thornley on guitar (Big Wreck), Chuck Leavell on keyboards (Rolling Stones) and Steve Vincent on bass (Tupelo Honey). The trippy 'Light Reflects' is the first song Edwin ever wrote as a solo artist back in 1997, and subject-wise it couldn't be a more fitting song for the album: "It's about how the light comes from within you and how other people will gravitate towards it" says Edwin, "and everything you've done in life has led you to the moment you're at now - every little step, every little corner, every decision you've made." And for Edwin, those steps have led to Better Days. http://www.edwinonline.ca

LOW LEVEL FLIGHT - Singer/guitarist and Canadian Idol winner Ryan Malcolm's new rock/pop band Low Level Flight is the project he's always wanted to make, featuring driving rhythms and lyrics seasoned with dark humour. "After having been with a major [Sony/BMG], I realized that success is not just in the numbers," says Ryan. "It's about being happy with your artistic contributions. Something I really wanted was to have a feeling of control over the music, the direction of the band, and my career." Their debut CD "Urgency" (Fontana North) is a self-financed and self-released effort put out on his own label (I Heart Records) and produced by Mike Borkosky (illScarlett). The band is comprised of Ryan Malcolm, Shaun Noronha (bass) and James Rooke (guitar/keyboards) along with touring members Dave Carter (guitar) and Brandon Merenick (drums). Low Level Flight performed to an audience of millions on Canadian Idol's Sept 4th top 3 results show, and the single 'Say' has just been released to radio, following the success of debut single 'Change For Me'. http://www.lowlevelflight.com

A SHEEP AT THE WHEEL fuses pulsing riff-laden verses, huge hooky choruses and powerful vocals in an original post-alternative package. They won the 2005 UBC Battle of the Bands, were voted among the top three independent bands two years running in the Georgia Straight, and have played BC Place and the Pacific Coliseum opening for acts like Finger Eleven and Wide Mouth Mason. http://www.asheepatthewheel.com/

SPLITTING ADAM - Renewed and reimagined, Splitting Adam combines a fresh British-inspired direction with dynamic, expressive, layered songwriting. Each song is a balance of commanding grooves, lush texturing, and contagious melodies, demonstrating a maturity and progressive growth in the band's songwriting. http://www.splittingadam.com
