Comeback Kid formed with one simple purpose in mind: to get out and play some fast, furious hardcore. Three critically acclaimed albums later and after tirelessly touring the world with bands such as Rise Against, Sick Of It All, Madball, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, and Bane, Comeback Kid have become one of the biggest names in hardcore today.
Now, two years since the release of their sophomore album Wake the Dead, Comeback Kid unleashes Broadcasting, their most diverse album yet. Recorded with pop-punk legend Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room, the album encompasses both heavier and more melodic elements. Lead singer Andrew Neufeld explains, “We wanted to up the ante with this one. Mix it up a little bit more. I think that with music it’s great to explore new things and push the envelope a bit.”
With a great reaction in their hometown of Vancouver right out of the gate, it became evident that this band had to become a full time project. Daggermouth started their first tour in July/’05, and within a month of its completion, hit the studio to record their debut full length CD, Stallone. With no distribution or label support, the recording was very well received, moving over 1,000 units in only a few months of release. Recently signed to Smallman Records, Daggermouth’s label debut Turf Wars will be released on April 3rd
