Event Description

on sale 3/9 @ 10am

An alternative metal/Goth band from Milan, Lacuna Coil has done the almost unthinkable for an Italian band—it’s sold a quarter million copies of its second full-length, Comalies, in the U.S. alone. The six-piece unit, which features the female/male harmonies of Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro, broke onto the hard rock scene with Comalies in 2004. Headbanger’s Ball airtime, Ozzfest appearances, and headlining club tours in the U.S. and Europe followed. In early 2006, Lacuna Coil released Karmacode, the highly anticipated follow-up to Comalies, and response was instantaneous and enthusiastic. The soundtrack of the movie Underworld: Evolution included the album’s first single “Our Truth”, which became a top 30 Active Rock hit single. Lacuna Coil has been aggressively touring since the album’s release, playing shows with Rob Zombie, making appearances at Ozzfest and the three-day Download Festival, joining the Blackest of the Black tour, and now embarking on a new North American tour.
