THE FEAST OF ST. MICHAEL & ALL ANGELS

Event Description

Celebrate the feast of St. Michael and all Angels with a sumptuous choral and orchestral concert at Christ Church Cathedral, 7:30pm, Saturday October 4th. Three trumpets, three oboes, percussion, flute, organ and strings will accompany Victoria's professional "Voces Intimae". Enjoy the brilliant baroque music of Bach's cantatas 130 and 50; B.C. composer Rupert Lang's haunting "How Like An Angel Came I Down", as well as pieces by conductor Tony Booker, including a rollicking arrangement os "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". Tickets are $15 and $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at Long & McQuade, Munro's and Ivy's.
