Remarkably, the members of The Secret Three originally met as children at a summer camp for young offenders called Glory Hills, in Dark River, Alberta. Under camp leader Dr. Henry Calusa, the renowned child psychologist, the objective of the camp was to inspire more socially responsible attitudes and behavior.
Happily, their time spent at Glory Hills was a great success, and The Secret Three are no longer involved in criminal activity (except for Scott Malin, the bass player, who was since arrested fourteen times, but charges are still pending).
Years later in Richmond, British Columbia, the members of The Secret Three were surprised to reunite by chance while all volunteering as security at an antique model airplane convention, held, appropriately, at the Vancouver International Airport.
After much enthusiastic handshaking, backslapping, kissing and drinking, if not in that order, they decided to form an instrumental band, one specializing in the delicate, emotionally stimulating art of "mood music." The Secret Three are Brady Cranfield (also of Video Tokyo, The Book Of Lists, and Cowbell fame), drums, Chris Harris (of Park And Rec, formerly of P:ano), keyboards, Rob Lang, guitar, and Scott Malin, bass.
