The Douglas College Community Music School has provided music training to New Westminster and surrounding communities since 1984. The school is made up of highly qualified, experienced teachers. Lessons are held at the New Westminster Campus and the David Lam Campus in Coquitlam.
The College has well-equipped teaching studios, classrooms, rehearsal rooms, practice studios, a music technology lab and two full-range recording studios. Concerts and recitals are held in the 350-seat Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre.
We offer programs for all ages, including a variety of summer programs. Children's programs include Suzuki Strings and Piano, Kodaly/Orff classes, private lessons and group lessons.
Youth and Adult ensemble offerings include the Douglas College Concert Band, Dues Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, String Ensemble, Celtic Music and others.
Private lessons, and classes in music theory and history are available for all ages and levels.
Youth and Adult classes include Teaching for Musicians, Audio Engineering, Business of Music, DC Music Technology Certificate Preparatory courses and more.
Students come for a wide range of experiences. Some work toward meeting requirements for college or university entrance. Others come purely for personal enjoyment. Many students will prepare for exams, festivals and/or competitions and develop valuable career skills.

For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
