Rabbit Junk is the one man project of JP Anderson (known from the underground digital hardcore band The Shizit). Taking familiar influences into unfamiliar territory, Anderson melds Digital Hardcore, Industrial, Punk, Metal and 80s new wave into a new sound he calls Hardclash. The band released their self-released first album Rabbit Junk in 2004, drew comparsions to similar groups like Mindless Self Indulgence and Atari Teenage Riot. In 2005, the band released the followup REframe, which showcases even heavier sound and influences from different styles such as black metal and Japanese Punk-Techno-Metal band The Mad Capsule Markets.
On August, 30th Rabbit Junk contributed the song "Industrial IS Dead" to the Glitch Mode compilation CD Hordes of the Elite. The song expresses the band's dislike of the current industrial scene, industrial/goth fashion(labeling it as "Halloween stuck in 93'"), and the club Noc Noc in Seattle. Recently another new tune has appeared which is a cover of Atari Teenage Riot's Start The Riot, which will be appearing on a D-Trash Records Atari Teenage Riot tribute album.
according to the frequently updated RJ myspace blogs, Currently Rabbit Junk have signed to a new detroit based record label (although they still signed to Glitchmode) called Full Effect Records, and working on a release of REFrame, the remastered version of the debut album, and the follow up to REframe, the tentatively titled "This Life Is Where You Get Fucked". The group are also planning to play the UK and Canada in summer 2007.
